Introduction
Take advantage of
the huge market that is the Internet, by advertising your property
worldwide today. We aim to provide you with the most cost-effective and
efficient means to advertise your holiday home 365 days a year, and above all to provide a
service that is simple to use, both for you and your customers.
It won't cost you a fortune either. You
could easily recoup your annual registration fee with your first week's
rental income!
Our
Service
We will provide a full-page advertisement
on this site, based on information that you provide us regarding your
property. The advertisement will contain brief details (up to 100 words),
plus up to 4 photographs, an "at a glance" list of key features,
further detailed description (up to 500 words), a table of rental rates
and availability dates.
We provide a simple registration form
(further details below) on which you can
submit your details to us either on-line from this site, by post or by e-mail. Providing you follow
the general format of our form, you choose the content that goes into your
advertisement, and you decide on how to structure your rental rates and
terms.
Upon receipt of your details, photos and
deposit payment, we will aim
to have your advertisement on-line within 5 working days. After that, all
you need do is to contact us as soon as you have a confirmed booking, so
that we can update your availability details on-line.
What we don't do is handle your bookings
for you. Arrangements between you and your customers are entirely your own
responsibility.
Before entering into a contract with the
company, you will be deemed to have read and understood the
Terms
and Conditions as laid out on the next page.

Registration
Form
Click Here to go to our simple on-line registration form. Alternatively,
if you prefer, you can E-mail
us now, to request a copy of the form (supplied as a Microsoft Word
document). We will endeavour to respond to your request within
24 hours. You can either E-mail or post (see Contacts)
the completed form back to us. This
procedure may take longer than the on-line method.
Photos
A good advertisement should ideally contain
one or more photographs as a selling aid. They
are not compulsory, but we would strongly recommend you include at least
one, but no more than four good quality, clear colour photographs, taken
in bright conditions. Exterior and interior views are recommended, and you
may like to include a view of the local beach, golf course, town centre,
etc. We would prefer original photos
to be sent by mail in a strong envelope to our web developers (see Contacts). Make
sure you include a note giving your name address and property details, so
that we can match these to the correct advert. You should also include a
note describing the views on each photo - do not write on the back of the
actual photos. Please note that we
will not reproduce any material on this site that is subject to copyright,
without the express permission of the owners of such copyright. Please
make sure that you either own or have the owners permission to use all
material that you submit to us. We do not
normally return photos to clients as it may be necessary to re-scan them
at a later date. You may, if you
prefer send the photos by e-mail to sfpadmin@btconnect.com
Please ensure that these are sent in a low compression jpg or jpeg format,
in a manageable size, so that the total attachment file size does not
exceed 200mb. >>Back

Other Information
The following is a brief guide to some of
the basic points you may need to consider when contemplating using your
home for letting purposes. These notes are intended for guidance only, and
infer no legal obligation on the part of the Company.
It is your responsibility to take the necessary steps to comply with all
legal and fiscal obligations of the country in which your property is
located, and of your main country of residence if these are different.
- Remember that as the property owner, you
have full discretion as to when and to whom you let your property. You
are bound to get enquiries from a variety of different people, so
decide beforehand, what sort of guests you want renting your home -
i.e. families with young children; a group of golfers; a group of
young adults/teenagers; whether you will allow pets; whether the
property is suitable for disabled or elderly persons requiring
wheelchair access.
- Make sure you furnish and equip your
property with all the essential equipment required for a self-catering
holiday, and have sufficient crockery and utensils to allow for the
odd breakage. Furniture and bedding are going to get a lot of use, so
will need to be sturdy, yet comfortable.
- It is strongly advised that you have
someone to manage your property for you while you are not there, to
meet your guests on arrival and departure to hand over the keys, and
to deal with maintenance, cleaning, inventory checks and ensuring
fresh linen is available at the right times. They will also need to
ensure there is an adequate stock of essential provisions for your
guests, who will obviously not want to be searching for the nearest
supermarket the minute they get there.
- It is a good idea to provide an
instruction manual for your guests, giving essential details about the
property, operation of equipment etc, important and emergency contact
numbers, as well as a brief guide to the area, places of interest, and
local amenities, first aid etc.
- You will need to contact your home
insurance provider to let them know that it will be used for letting
purposes.
- It is important that you notify us
(preferably by e-mail) as soon as you have taken a booking, so that we
can update your availability dates on our site. Provisional bookings
will be separately identified from confirmed ones.
- Be prepared to accept that certain
breakages will inevitably occur from time to time. It is also a good
idea to include provision for these in your rental terms and
conditions, as well as charges for extra services, and to ensure your
guests are fully aware of these when making their booking.
